The Devil As The Antagonist

I was asked a great question recently on why I choose Satan as the Antagonist in my books? The answer to that is, that we all know that the Devil is perhaps the greatest fool loser of all time. He rebelled against God and got his sorry ass kicked out of Heaven along with his pathetic followers. I took that concept and used it for my books, though it was not intentional. As you read these books, you'll see that I make Satan look like the great loser that he is and I make him look quite foolish in most of the stories. When I was writing these books, I needed an enemy of substance for our heroes to battle, and Satan was the villain I settled on and I'm glad I did. As I said already he is one of the biggest, sorriest losers of all time and that theme runs throughout these books. So, that's the answer to that question.

Hi everyone,

And welcome on in to my very first blog. I've been putting this off for a long time because I just didn't know what the hell to blog about, and the time has finally come to set one up. I've called it out of the mouth of madness because my writing style is nothing but madness and mayhem. First posts usually warrant an introduction so here goes :-) My name is Damon Graves and I am 49 years old. I've been writing since I was nine years old and my idols are Stephen King, James Herbert, Shaun Hutson, Edgar Allen Poe, H.P Lovecraft, James Patterson, Joe Hill and Jack Ketchum.

I am also a part time hard rock and metal drummer and will be combining that with this site as things progress in the future, I am also Autistic having been diagnosed with A.S.D level 1 and A.D.H.D. a few months ago, which I am still trying to come to terms with to be honest. That's pretty much all there is to me apart from drinking too much coffee and watching too much You Tube :-) My hobbies include reading and writing (obviously, duh!) Martial Arts, Tattoos, working on cars, Listening to hard rock and heavy metal, running and keeping fit, I could go on but I am also married nearly ten years and we have three cats, Squeaky, Rainy, and Rollo.

So there you have it that's me in a nutshell. Just an average everyday guy that enjoys the writing process and just being creative in general, and no I don't look at my Autism/A.D.H.D. as a disability, I think of it as my muse, because if I didn't have it, I don't think I could be this creative. Finding out I am Autistic has put a completely new outlook on life, and where it's going to lead me, I have no idea, but the journey is going to be interesting to say the least. This little blog of mine will have everything from rants to writing updates and a lot more in the near future. I forgot to mention that I am also into Cryptozoology, The Occult, The Paranormal and pretty much all things that go bump in the night, and you can expect many posts on those subjects as well.
